AMERISTAR'S $5,000 ONLINE GIVEAWAY
OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

  1. Ameristar Casino's (the "sponsor") $5,000 Online Giveaway (the "promotion") begins March 9, 2007 and ends June 30, 2007.   
  2. Each participant must be an Ameristar Star Awards card member and permanently reside within the United States of America. Star Awards cards can be obtained free of charge at any Ameristar Casinos property at the Star Awards booth. Participants must be 21 years of age or older to participate in the promotion.
  3. Each participant is allowed one free entry by visiting Ameristar Casinos, Inc. on the internet at http://www.ameristar.com. Links to the entry form (giveaway page) will also be displayed on various pages within the Ameristar Casinos web site.
  4. Entries will be accepted via the internet only, beginning at 12:01am (CST) Tuesday, March 9, 2007. The last day to submit an entry is Midnight (CST), Saturday, June 30, 2007.
  5. Participant is responsible for completely following the instructions on the entry page and accurately filling out the web-based entry form. Additionally, the participant must accept delivery of an activation email from the sponsor containing a unique link to an entry validation page in order to successfully enter the drawing.
  6. The drawing will take place on or about Wednesday, July 11, 2007, from all the valid entries received by the promotion closing date/time.
  7. One (1) winner will be drawn to win one (1) five thousand dollar ($5,000.00) cash prize.
  8. The winner will be contacted via email and instructed to visit their local Ameristar Casino's Star Awards booth, with a valid ID and their Star Awards card, in order to claim their prize. Alternately, the winner can call their local Ameristar Casino and ask to be transferred to the Star Awards booth for additional instructions (see below). The winner will also be asked to reply to the e-mail in order to confirm receipt of the prize notification.
  9. In the event the winner does not confirm receipt of the e-mail or make any other attempt to contact Ameristar within 10 business days from the delivery of the notification email, Ameristar will attempt to contact the winner by phone (if available) or by certified mail. If, after five (5) business days from the delivery of the certified letter, the prize has not been claimed, it will be deemed unclaimed and forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn. The claiming process will be repeated until a qualified winner claims the prize.
  10. Once contacted, the winner has the option of reporting to their nearest Ameristar Casino to claim their prize, or of receiving the prize via a delivery method of Ameristar's choosing. In order for the winning prize to be delivered to the winner it will be necessary for the winner to sign an affidavit verifying their eligibility and identity. This affidavit must be countersigned by a notary public. The form for the affidavit will be mailed to the winner at the address currently on file at Ameristar within five (5) business days of the potential winner contacting Ameristar. In the event the winner opts to travel to their local Ameristar Casino to pick up the prize, they will be able to fill-out all required paperwork at that time and will receive payment immediately.
  11. All applicable taxes are the responsibility of winner.
  12. Acceptance of the prize constitutes winner's permission to use his/her likeness, name, and hometown for publicity or promotional uses without compensation.
  13. Persons who are on a Disassociated Persons list, trespassed and/or self-excluded from any Ameristar Casinos, Inc., affiliated casinos are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.   Employees of Ameristar Casinos, Inc., its related companies, lessees and their immediate families (including in-laws) and household members are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.  Employees of any third party companies involved in the production, printing, fulfillment and/or servicing of any Promotion related materials including, but not limited to, promotional devices, prize envelopes, or data processing services, and their immediate families (including in-laws) and household members, are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. 
  14. Submitted entries that are, in anyway, incomplete, incorrect, or unverifiable, or which result in bounce back e-mails, or which contain any computer programming or typographical errors will be considered null and void and will not be eligible for the drawing. Ameristar is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this promotion, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this promotion. If, in Ameristar's opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any portion of the promotion, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the promotion, Ameristar reserves the right to terminate the promotion and conduct a random drawing to award the prize using all non-suspect entries received as of the date of termination. In the event a dispute arises as to the identity of a potentially winning online entrant, entries made by internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the Star Awards card number submitted at the time of entry.
  15. Any dispute or situation not covered by the above rules will be resolved by Ameristar management in a manner deemed by them to be the fairest to all concerned, and that decision shall be final and binding on all participants. In addition, Ameristar reserves the right to void or disqualify any participant, and/or to change, cancel, or modify the promotion at any time.
  16. Participation in the promotion is an agreement to abide by the rules of the promotion.
  17. Void where prohibited. No purchase necessary. Odds of winning depend upon number of entries.
