"The single best restaurant in the world."
That's what writer Calvin Trillin had to say about Arthur Bryant's.
Trillin was a renowned author and columnist for the New Yorker magazine
and had dined in Manhattan's finest, but for him nothing compared to barbecue,
slow smoked over hickory and oak woods. Since the 1930s, celebrities,
sports stars and a couple of American Presidents have come to sample ribs,
brisket, pork, chicken and charcoal-black sausage,
the hands-down pick of Fortune magazine.
This is the landmark that made Kansas City the barbecue capital of the U.S.
